Comment on Performance: Writing and recording
this album was a definite learning experience. The album had a very limited
budget and I felt like I was being pressured by the engineer to finish it
quickly. I would have liked to have had more time to work on the guitar sounds
and perfecting some of the parts.
Despite these things, I feel the record captured a certain
nervous energy I was feeling at the time. I played very fast and definitely
wanted to show off my technique during this period of my life. It was a very
exciting point in my career because at the time I felt very strongly about the
style of guitar I was playing and I felt this was a tremedous opportunity to
get my music out to the public.
